1. Welcome to EthiConnect Ethiopia

EthiConnect Ethiopia (“we”, “us”, or “the platform”) is a digital marketplace that connects Ethiopian farmers (“sellers”) with buyers. By creating an account, listing products, contacting sellers, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Who may use the platform

• You must be at least 18 years old or have permission from a legal guardian.
• You must register with accurate information, including a valid phone number and region.
• You may only maintain one account per person unless authorized by us.

3. Farmer and seller listings

• Listings must describe real agricultural products that the seller currently has or expects to harvest.
• Prices, quantities, units, and locations must be truthful and kept up to date.
• You may not list prohibited items, counterfeit goods, or non-agricultural products.
• We reserve the right to moderate, hide, or remove listings that violate these terms.

4. Buyer conduct

• Buyers may contact farmers through the platform’s messaging, call, or WhatsApp features.
• All negotiations, payments, and delivery arrangements are between the buyer and seller.
• Buyers must not misuse farmer contact information for spam, harassment, or unrelated marketing.

5. Location and privacy

The platform uses approximate locations to protect exact home addresses. By using the map or location features, you consent to sharing approximate coordinates. Exact addresses and phone numbers are only shared when a user chooses to contact another user directly.

6. Payments and delivery

EthiConnect Ethiopia does not currently process payments between buyers and sellers. Any payment, delivery, or transport arrangement is made directly between the parties. We are not responsible for disputes, losses, or failed transactions that occur outside the platform.

7. Prohibited activities

• Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent listings.
• Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against other users.
• Attempting to bypass platform security or access another user’s account.
• Using the platform for illegal activities or goods.

8. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the platform, or create risk for other users. Suspended users may not create new accounts without our permission.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated terms. The latest version will always be available at this page.
